How can I get information on starting a answering service from home?
Q. I have a disability I'm recovering from and I need to work from home. This is a good time for me to start my own home business. I have 19 years of call center experience and I feel as though starting an answering service from home is the way to go, However, I have no idea where to start. I do not have a lot of money but I do have the necessary equipment. I'm not looking to get rich quick or those so called home business opportunities that promises great wealth and are always asking for investments. I'm not interested in any multi-level marketing programs, buying a distributorship or selling any products. I'm not interested in buying into a franchise. How should the starting bid relate to the reserve price on eBay?
Q. My parents twice tried selling a motercyle on eBay with a reserve of $3500 and a starting bid of $1000. I tried telling them the starting bid must be much closer to the reserve and they disagree. How do you think they should have/can price to improve chances of selling? Thank you!

A. According to eBay, the best strategy is to set a realistic reserve price and a fairly low starting bid. What is the typical starting point for a career in politics?
Q. I haven't even started college yet, but I'm a senior in high school right now and am planning on majoring in Political Science. I was wondering if anyone who has or is currently majoring in a similar (or the same) thing could help me out. I'm just trying to sketch out a five or ten year plan at this point, and I'm not sure. I realize a person can't just hire a campaign strategist and run for mayor or the Senate out of nowhere, so I just wanted to know where I should plan on starting. Thanks in advance! Another question: Sorry, but I'm kind of ignorant about this. Do you need to be Pre-Law to go to law school, or could I go with a Political Science degree and a good LSAT score?

A. I would start off with the Board of Education. That is where it will be easiest to get a good foothold onto the political scene without necessarily having to strongly affiliate yourself with a political party. You just need to run under a party. After the educational field, your allegiance to a party needs to be clearly established. The PTA is your best shot to getting into the Board of Education without being a teacher. Since you don't have kids, the easiest way is through community organizing with a church group. You have to find a church to work to get the essential supplies and support.
